Social Network Self Branding
With the constant uprising of social networks all over the web, most users want to be recognized for something. Whether you are promoting your business, services, keeping in touch with friends and family or just looking for something to do, you want to create a identity. Most users use their photo as faces are unique and can be recognized...but what about others that don't want to use a personal photo? Using a cartoon illustration is a great alternative and could prove to be more than just a photo. Using a mascot for yourself or company is part of a marketing strategy to further interact with your customers and consumers. It is in fact a great way to gain more customers by using a mascot as a medium for physical and psychological interaction with the people. Standing out from the rest, you have the opportunity to show yourself in a different way with a cartoon mascot. By associating yourself or business with a mascot, illustration or even a caricature of yourself, you create a unique appearance that is even easier for visitors to remember you by and leave a lasting impression. Using the same cartoon illustration internet-wide, you also create a continuation of your presence and your followers are able to pick you out in a crowd much easier. Your cartoon mascot can say a lot about you as they are completely customizable. For example, lets say you are known for your wild hair and big nose...a custom cartoon logo can be created to reflect your appearance in a light-hearted and fun way. Spreading this illustration around will help you get noticed much more and is easy to have fun with. The more unique, the better. Its natural human habit to relate things together such as images, color schemes, sounds, etc. Instead of using that same old penguin-slap animated gif as your avatar, try something different. A fresh cartoon illustration will prove to be much more unique and is promising to draw attention in your direction. |
